Day 8 (May 24, 1999) - Seward to Anchorage

After disembarking, we boarded a bus for a 3 hour ride to Anchorage for our charter flight to Fairbanks. The bus took us over the Seward Highway through the Chugach Mountains through Turnagain Pass, then along the Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet to Anchorage.
The only stop on this trip is a brief 10 minute stop at a wildlife rehabilitation center about 2/3 of the way to Anchorage. While not exactly what one would expect for an Alaskan wildlife experience, it is mildly interesting to see some Alaskan wildlife up close. On this day, the center had musk ox, moose, an eagle, two owls, bison, reindeer (or maybe caribou), and a few rabbits who loved a good nose scratch.
