Bar Harbor, Maine - Whale Watching

Our stay in Bar Harbor began with a half day whale watching cruise that picked us up at the ship. We took the Friendship V (here shown after the tour). It's a catamaran-style jetboat capable of speeds up to 40 miles per hour. The seas were a bit rough on this day which, when combined with the high speed of the boat, led to a number of people getting seasick - fortunately, none of us got sick.
